Under Your Skin is a short film produced by Savannah College of Art and Design's School of Digital Media during the 2018-2019 school year.

It follows the story of two tattoo artists who bring their tattoos to life, allowing them to move freely once completed. When their relationship comes under strain, their tattoos begin acting in strange ways. They have to learn to reconcile their differences before they can focus on saving their tattoos.

Under Your skin was animated in Maya and compiled in Unreal Engine.

My primary job on Under Your Skin was the 2D Animation of the ninja and dragon tattoo.

Software: TV Paint, Toon Boom Harmony, Photoshop, Unreal Engine
Year: 2018

Dragon Tattoo!

The dragon tattoo is the main tattoo of the short. It was drawn and rigged in Toon Boom Harmony by me. Fire effect hand-drawn by me. Original dragon concept by Andrew McKinney.

Dragon animation was then exported frame by frame into Photoshop and compiled into sprite sheets to be used in Unreal Engine.
